Plastering Apprenticeship
Train4All working in conjunction with Somerset Skills and Learning and City & Guilds are pleased to be able to offer a Plastering Apprenticeship for young people aged 16-25 years who are employed within industry. In partnership with employers, we aim to ensure that young people undertake quality training both in the workplace and at our local training centre in Chard.
Level 2 Apprenticeship
This two-year programe will lead to an NVQ Level 2 in Plastering, a City and Guilds Diploma and Key/Functional Skills. Typical units studied are:
- Safe working practices in construction
- Construction methods and technology
- Apply plaster to external surfaces
- Fix dry lining and plasterboard to interior
- Floor Screeding
- Produce plaster components
- Apply plaster to internal surfaces
- Position and secure fibrous components
This programme will be attended via day-release to the training centre where theory and practical skills will be taught by our qualified teaching staff, all of which are still working within industry. The remainder of your week will be with your employer gaining valuable work experience.
