Welcome to Train4All Construction Training
Train4ll is a specialist provider of training for the construction industry. Located at the heart of the West Country, we are ideally located to provide training for Somerset, Dorset, Devon, the South West and beyond.
Train4All opened its doors in March 2008 so that people of all ages could come and learn new skills or develop existing ones. There are courses available to suit all levels of experience and knowledge, whether you are somebody who wants to expand your plastering skills or just someone who wants to learn how to tile a bathroom, we have a course that will meet your requirements.
Our team of qualified industry professionals are here to deliver quality City & Guilds training in relaxed environments. With centres in Chard, Glastonbury, Yeovil and a new training facility in Bridport, we are well equiped to deliver local training for local learners eliminating the need for costly travel. We will also be opeing our second Mid Somerset centre in Street in September 2012.
Many of our courses are funded via the Skills Funding Agency and in partnerships with local training providers or colleges such as Somerset Skills & Learning, Strode College, Kingston Maurward College and Paragon Skills. We provide a range of different programmes including Apprenticeships, NVQ's, Force Resettlement and short DIY skills training. We also deliver a range of Foundation diplomas and certificates for young learners that wish to study a vocational field alongside their academic studies or for young people who are no longer within a mainstream educational establishment and wish to re-engage with learning or gain skills in order to seek employment. Please contact us for further information.

Employer Incentives
There is a misconception that taking on an apprentice is hardwork and involves lots of paperwork, this is no longer the case.  We have a numer of learners that have been accepted onto our programmes but are now seeking an employer to support their apprenticeship. We can assist in finding a suitable candidate for you and help with all paperwork by visiting you in the wokplace with the majority of boxes already completed!
With the government now promoting the benefits of having an apprenitce, and if you have not  taken an apprentice in the last 3 years, you are entitled to apply for a £1500 grant to aid with wage costs. In addition if you are CITB registered employer you may also be able to obtain subsidies to help with training costs. The apprentice minimum wage is currently £2.60 per hour and applies to time working, plus time spent training. Employers are free to pay above this wage and many do so, but employers must ensure that they are paying their apprentices at least the minimum wage. The wage applies to all apprentices aged under 19; and those over 19 or in the first year of their Apprenticeship. Training costs are fully funded for apprentices aged 16-18 years, and partially funded for those over 19 where a training contribution will be required by the funding agent.
Your apprentice will attend the centre to learn practical City & Guilds skills and Functional Skills in Maths and English via day or block release, they will then be assessed in the workplace for their NVQ. A Training Officer will also visit or call every 12 weeks to carry out a review with you and your apprentice to check progress and set targets for achievement. A level 2 apprentice will usually take between 18-24 months to complete and up to a further year to achieve their level 3.
For more information and to view our facilities, please contact us and we will arrange a convenient time to meet.
